Sonic Territories x Adventurous Music Plateaux

On 20 and 21 October, Sonic Territories Festival 2026 comes to Otto Wagner Areal, Pavillon 21 with two connected programme strands presented as part of the Austrian component of the European project Adventurous Music Plateaux (AMP).

Across both days, Porous Practices I & II bring together lectures, exchange and artistic practice, with local and international artists sharing insights into their approaches and exploring connections among composition, improvisation, electronics and experimental sound, with a strong focus on digital tools and the digital realm.

On the evening of 21 October, the programme continues with Waters Adrift, an improvised music concert shaped by temporary formations, unstable textures and musical languages that meet without settling into fixed forms. Working between acoustic experimentation, electronics, composition and free improvisation, the participating artists follow distinct currents while remaining part of a shared field of listening.
